ACE awards reward and
motivate our children

ACE Logo-Seal.png

ACE awards are given monthly, to two children at each location, for high achievement, cooperation, and effort in the classroom and on the tennis court. The positive attention brought by this award helps children learn the value of hard work and self-discipline.  Perhaps most importantly. Receiving this award increases their self-confidence and sense of self-worth.

A special shout out to the National Charity league
for funding this part of our program.

Parents

For Parents

Tennis & Tutoring’s after-school program is designed to support you in your efforts to raise healthy, happy, successful children. We offer your child attention and opportunities that go beyond what they get during regular school hours. Rest assured that your child is in a fun, safe, nurturing environment. Both the academic tutoring and the tennis training are designed to strengthen your child academically, physically, emotionally, and socially.

Because enrollment in Tennis & Tutoring is an opportunity in high demand, we expect our students to faithfully attend our classes, work hard, cooperate with teachers, and get along with the other students. We encourage you to talk with your child about these expectations and continually show your support for their efforts in the program. Together we can create a positive impact on your child’s future.

If you are a parent who is interested in enrolling your child in the program, you may find the following information helpful.

Student Registration

Be aware that the days of the week and months of the year Tennis & Tutoring is available can vary from location to location and can change at any time. This, and the number of participants we can accommodate, varies by school and is dependent on the facilities, staff and volunteers available. At most locations, demand for the program exceeds the number of students we are able to accommodate.

The selection process for participants in Tennis & Tutoring varies from school to school. If you would like your child to be considered for acceptance into the Tennis & Tutoring program, please contact the site director for the host school at which your child attends. The site director will help you understand when the program is in session and the application process at your child’s school.

Host a Program

Host our program

As an elementary school principal, you're focused on developing students academically. Yet, you also realize that educating the whole child and developing their social-emotional skills is also important. You ultimately want every child to acquire the “life-ready skills” needed to become responsible, productive members of society. But how do you accomplish all this within the limits of a school day that ends about 3 pm?

Introducing Tennis & Tutoring’s after-school program.

One of the greatest values of this after school programs is that it can help you achieve your goals for both academic and social-emotional growth. Tennis & Tutoring offers students a free after school program that provides one hour of academic tutoring and one hour of tennis instruction in a fun, safe, nurturing environment. Our goal is to inspire children to set higher life goals and give them the extra boost they need to achieve those goals.

We partner with schools in economically challenged areas

Our host schools are either a Title I schools or a school where students qualify for free (or reduced cost) lunch. We also partner with Boys and Girls Clubs.

We work closely with school principals to structure a program that works for their school. In most cases, we hire the tennis instructor, who also works as the site manager. The school usually provides a teacher to oversee the acsdemic tutoring.  If you are interested in learning more about how a Tennis & Tutoring program might be adapted to your school, contact us with the form below.
